Friends at East Cowes?

This looks to me like the sea-front at East Cowes, not far from the Columbine Works, where Sep joined Saunders-Roe after leaving the Merchant Navy. You can see an ocean-going liner at the back, which indicates it must be the Solent, the sea-lane close to Southampton. I wonder if these were some of his new colleagues?
