New Elizabethan
Sep looks young here but he's sitting on a freshly-carved seat celebrating the new Queen, whose coronation was on June 2nd, 1953.
"Just off Watch"
The third photo says "20 minutes after" on the back. I suppose the first two showed the sailors in their engine-room work clothes.

On the back is a rubber-stamped date: "- SEP 1944"
So I imagine it is a photo of Peter Charlton who died on Feb 15th 1944. It is quite feasible that it was on a roll of film not developed till September.

Snapshot of Sep
This is from a small snapshot of Sep. I don't know what age or year. But he looked like this when I first knew him in 1953.
